I had an interview today at the Hilton. It's for a cook's apprentice. I think it went really well. The Chef knows Chef Hersey and spent some time working with Chef Anderson and they are good friends. He said I seem to have all the qualifications he's looking for. He said they may be hiring more than one person and did I have any friends looking for jobs and I told him my friend Tiffany. He said only recommend someone I know is good but I'm not too worried. I know she's good too. If I get the job I will probably have to work Christmas. The torch from the Olympics is coming through London on that day and there are tons of people staying at the Hilton. He said that summers are slow and people often book off time for their summer vacations because companies don't book conferences during that time and that's what most of their business comes from. I told them that they would like me to come back to Bayfield next year and he said that might be a good option for me as they don't have many hours available during the summer. He said that lots of celebrities stay there and he saw Christina Agulara and David Bowie. He said all the big stars stay there when they come through town and he says that can be pretty fun. He said he will let me know either way by Nov 11 by the latest so I have to be patient and see. I told him right out I'd really like to work there and I hope he chooses me and he seemed to like that. Oh well, cross your fingers. I'm sure wherever I'm meant to end up is where I'll be. One thing too he said February isn't too busy which is good as that's when the Chef's table and probably the Gala will be so that will work out I think.
